CSUE Annul Ski Trip

posted Nov 29, 2010 11:23 AM by Csue Emory

Dear All,
We would like to invite you to our first annual ski trip and enjoy the wildness in Catalloche ski resort on Dec 18th, 2010.(Please check http://www.cataloochee.com/  out). The group price would be 46 dollar per person(from 9am-4:30pm) for the lift and 19 dollar for the ski rental which is the best deal we can find near Atlanta (The individual ticket would be 89 for both). This ski resort fits all kinds of skiiers. There will be free tutorial session for beginners while the slopes are quite challenging for the medium and advanced level skiier. Since CSUE will provide free carpool with two 12-seat vans, there will be a maximum number of 24 for carpooling. So, please respond this email with your name and contact information asap in order to reserve a seat in the carpool. And we appreciate if anyone would be the carpool driver for the event. It is also ok if you want to drive there and join us at the resort.
If there is enough people joining this event, I would negotiate with the ski resort to lower the ticket price and ask CSUE committee to cover some of the cost on ticket. But still, 65 dollars are definitely worth for the ski trip. The money will be gathered to me before the event so that I can get the group ticket for all of us.
Also, if you decide to join us, the thanksgiving season can provide wonderful deals on goggles and gloves(which will be necessary).

CSUE Website Anouncement

posted Oct 9, 2010 11:02 AM by Ruogu Hu   [ updated Oct 12, 2010 3:45 PM ]

Effective November 2010, the official website of CSUE Emory is hosted on Google sites. Meanwhile, the original BBS is moved to the Emory Chinese Yahoo Group.  A Facebook account and a Xiaonei account on behalf of the CSUE entity were also set up to keep everyone up with what's going on lately, and anyone at Emory who has accounts on these networks can add CSUE Emory as a friend. By taking advantage of the wide-spread-use of social networks and web 2.0 content management/publishing platforms, we believe CSUE would better serve the community by providing more centralized communication portals for each individual and simpler information management for the organization. Thank you very much!
